HD DA 20-40 Zoom Resistance

I noticed my DA 20-40 (bought used like new from B&H) having resistance when zooming but not focusing, is it normal? I did use it in a rainy day and later put it with some desiccant in a bag.

And if I have to do some CLA, and I have a SquareTrade warranty which I purchased along with the lens from B&H, how this works?

I will check mine tomorrow - I recall there being a slight resistance on zoom. The focus ring is very low on resistance if any as is typical of Lenses with a focus motor.

The slight resistance on the zoom ring is entirely normal for this lens, as is the lack of resistance on the focus ring. As Uncle Vanya said, this is normal as the lens houses a motor.

Happy new year!

Mine proved to be a little over resistant.
