Point of contact at Ricoh/Pentax

I've have the second SDM problem with my DA*55 1.4 in as many years. It was under warranty last year but not it's not. Anyone at Ricoh I can speak with about this? I can't be paying for a once a year SDM replacement plan at almost $300 a pop.

Who was it serviced with? You need to go back to the service center, not RIcoh. If it was Precision then they should warranty the repair for 6 months I believe, even if it is now out of warranty.

It was sent in under warranty in about 8 months since being purchased. The time since it was at Precision has lapsed.

Ricoh Imaging contact form: Ricoh Contact Form for what it is worth. You might be better calling Precision and starting a ticket. If they don't give you any satisfaction then ask to escalate to RIcoh, they might have a contact we are not privy to.

Precision has a 90 day warranty.

Thought it was 6 months but maybe that was KEH? Anyway if 90 days not going to help the OP in this case.
