Pentax K-200D bottom cover seals

Hi!
I've juste changed my K-200D bottom cover... but unfortunately the old seals are irrecoverable.
So i've asked to PM2S (official Pentax repair service for France) for these seals:

Référence / Désignation / PUHT €
76830A460 / Water proof sheet 1.2X94 / 10,96€
76830A54 / Tripod screw water proof sheet / 10,96€
77050A475 / Waterproof sheet 1.2X90 /10,96€

10.96€ each, excluding VAT!!!!

Any tips to find cheaper seals are welcome

Anyone tried to cut new seals in gaskets sheets? Or maybe with liquid silicone sealant?

I haven't had the bottom off of my K200D, but if there isn't any obvious reason not to use the silicone sealant, personally I'd strongly consider it!

In the US we can't even get such parts without paying a flat price for the repair, so this looks cheap to me!

What about acetic acid emanations with the silicone sealant? Can them damage the sensor?

I've found 0.047" O'ring cord. It's exactly the same thickness as the genuine seals maybe better than liquid sealant?

Nice!
I've found and ordered 1.2mm thick insulation adhesive (1 side) neoprene roll
7€ including delivery

5m lenght, 1cm width... Genuine seals seams to be 2mm width, so in this roll I can cut a lot of new seals

Hopefully the neoprene works for you. I use GE Silicone II to glue FM dial plates on vintage receivers I restore. The dial plates are plastic, but the silicone has never damaged them at all, so I doubt it would hurt a sensor. If you did use silicone, you would need to be careful not to accidentally glue any wires or ribbon cables to the bottom plate. If you do, they could be damaged if you ever need to remove the bottom plate again!
