pentax K 30 not connecting to pc without holding it in place..

Has anyone had this problem? I don't think anything is bent , maybe some dirt got into the port though.

I take it scrambling in the mountains and it's been in some rugged places . It also has taken to occasional tumble of rocks where I set it .

I'm in Calgary and the camera store here says only Pentax can repair this camera as the factory wont sell parts to service depots .
The nearest repair shop is Vancouver ( so I read on the site here ).

Did you try a new cable, or a can of air duster in the port?

It’s cheaper and wise to invest in a separate card reader.

Just take the flippin' card out and read it directly. If you've got a USB3 reader and a fast card, it's probably better than hotlinking to the camera anyway (and saves battery power).

My thoughts exactly!!! I have never used the cable on my K-3 or K-50.
