K3 extended warranty service.

I sent my K3 off today for a service and cleaning under the extended warranty. I almost forgot about it. I purchased it on 11/24/14. It will arrive at Precision on Wednesday 11/8. I hope they can get to it before the warranty expires. It is my fault, I procrastinated and then forgot. We will see how it goes. This is the first time I ever sent a camera in.

Looks like you gave yourself an ample amount of time according to the dates you mentioned.

Well my K3 is on its way back. It will be here Monday. I have no idea what or if they did anything to it. I will just have to wait and see. Either way I'm just glad it did not sit there for a long time waiting.

My K3 arrived back yesterday. Full recalibration, cleaning, and firmware update. It was gone for a total of 7 days.

Cool! Did you remember to ask them for the low-level reflash related to the runaway mirror problem? If I ever have to send mine in, I will ask for that even though I have never had a single incident of that sort.

Yes I did. It was the one and only specific issue I mentioned to them. I only had the runaway mirror happen once. I did still have the occasional mirror stuck up issue were I have to remove the battery. I am hoping that will go away.
