Lost button

my button for change the lens is broken. Does anyone has a suggestion?.

I have another 2 old pentax can I switch it? I dont want to dammage the other one but if is possible I may tales the risk.

Which body is that? Mine fell off my K-5 and K-5IIs eons ago. I just poke a large paperclip into the hole, works fine for releasing the lens. Not exactly stylish but it works.

If you have a friend with a 3D printer you can make a copy from the STL file listed here.

My K5 lost it's button years ago. Got it replaced at a local camera repair shop.

Given the age of the K1 now, it may no longer be worth it.

By the way, I am told the new replacements don't have this weakness. Unfortunately, mine was replaced with the last of the old stock, but it has not failed again anyway.

USCamera has the replacement button, packing and retaining clip for K-3 / K-5 / K-7 / K10D / K-50 and K-r digital camera.
. I don't know if it will fit other bodies. They ship internationally. Drop them a line and see if they can cross reference the compatible parts. This would be indicated on the parts list for the camera.

Is K5 also as I cherched a little more seems to be something typical on this body, shame on pentax. I have a kr those bodies have the problem with e-dial and happened to me and now this. Very disapointed

I will try your solution at least for the moment thanks.

Yes I also saw that option but is hard for me to get a 3D printer anyway I will keep it as an option, thanks
