At this point Richoh should extend the time frame due to their poor planning. I know I would not send my camera in until they actually have the parts. Although it seems they are continually running out of them. So even if they have the parts when you send it, by the time they get the camera they could be out again.

I'm beginning to think that the female who told me second week of August delivery of more boards, actually said seventh week so the 20th would be way ahead of schedule. I was told that I should send my camera but I had a few days delay getting it there. If not me, some other person would be frustrated.

At one point the K-1 II upgrade page posted do not send in your camera and to call first because they had run out of boards.

The original sign from June is still there but they had delivery since then. I called and was told ok. This time I called she had to get answer from someone else. That is where 20 AUG came from. The one that called me telling of delay, said second (or seventh) week of AUG. Precision and Ricoh are not coordinated and Precision is in the dark ages.

Sent mine to Sun Cameras in Canada. Called first, they have the parts. Will let you know how it goes.

Boards should be there on Monday 20 AUG. You will enter queue at that time relative to how they received the camera. Mine was there on Tuesday 31 JUL.
Still another week before it gets back to me.

Got a call from Sun this morning, they created a work order and got my credit card info. He said I should see it in two weeks.

It likely arrived at their shop yesterday, so they did the initial inspection and testing and created the work order when it arrived.

The work order said Clean and Adjust, K1 II upgrade.

on the 17th august 2018 i received an e-mail from foto maertz,
now it is finaly time to send your camera to us.

on the 18-8-2018 i brought my Pentax k-1 to the postoffice.

waiting for howlong?????

update:

got my upgraded camera back on 28-8-2018.

think it was fast done!

because dutch is my language, i got
the Pentax k-II manual in German!

Got my camera back today. Likely shipped on Friday. Two weeks including shipping both ways. All looks fine, going through the settings and user modes. I'll report when I start taking some shots.

My K-1 arrived at Precision on 31 Jul and returned to me after surgery to become a MkII on 28 Aug. Few minutes of tests it seems like it is OK.

In the UK, I've sent my K-1 last Tuesday and I should receive it upgraded tomorrow. Looking forward to testing it!!

Received mine yesterday from Johnson Photopia. So 1 week including shipping !

Just played with it for an hour or so and to be perfectly honest I cannot feel any difference with K-1 for now.

Will retest more precisely this week-end on INDOOR & FAST MOVING subjects -> My kids !

Nope, I have called three times since last Wednesday, the woman I spoke with then and this morning said she didn't know and would find out and get back in touch with me. But she also took vacation days last Thursday thru yesterday and didn't have an answer yet on mine. They have had it since 8/9, the person I spoke with on Friday afternoon said she would follow up and have the 1st contact me so IDK
