Help removing a water spot on element.

My lens has a few dry water spots inbetween the two sandwiched front elements. I don't feel like paying $209.00 for a simple clean up job. If anyone here has any experience with teardowns. Please guide me on steps to remove the element from the plastic ring.

Looking at the photos, I honestly can not see what you're referring to.

What is the lens? Are you certain this is a cemented pair? It does look like it. Have you looked at the lens diagram
for this lens to confirm?

It is possible to separate cemented pairs, clean and then re-cement them. I have never done it but others on the forum
have. Searching the forum should bring up threads on the subject.

If it's a cemented pair I wouldn't mess with it unless it was something like an A* 135mm 1.8 or the like, not an easy fix. I don't know what lens this is, but even if its not a cemented pair I have encountered some early 80's third party lenses where the elements are glued in place rather than held in place with friction rings or the like which makes some of them nearly impossible to get apart and then reassembled.

Here is the diagram. I'm not sure how to tell if it is cemented. When I place both of my palms on each element and turn it. The front element spins with enough force. I was hoping it would unscrew.

It doesn't look that bad, honestly. I agree that unless it's affecting image quality, you might as well leave it since the teardown may not be worth the risk of damaging something, and these sorts of things don't typically have too much of an impact on image quality if they're on the front element.
