Who/Where is the best place to restore a SuperProgram?

Or is it even worth it?

Probably this listing in the US will give you someone who repairs film cameras:

What sort of restoration are you looking at? Functional repair only? Cosmetic only? Cosmetic and functional?

I sent it in to Eric Hendrickson maybe 2 years ago, he sent it back saying he couldn't fix it. I'm not sure exactly whats wrong the camera. It's just dead...

If the electronics are dead it's just a shelf queen.

Anyhoo Eric says he can't get parts for it so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on who would be the next best option...

Did you ever watch Wayne and Shuster?

Is the flash compatible/working properly? Otherwise, I don't think there is much you can do except cleaning the hotshoe and applying a small amount of WD-40 to the self-timer switch. I've got two bodies that still work, as long as I keep fresh batteries in them, so I'm not too knowledgeable about what to do when they don't work.

Buy a used one in working condition. They aren't very rare or expensive.

It has some sentimental value and it's pretty clean, most of the ones out there look abused and the nicer ones are kinda pricey but I suspect you're right. KEH has a ratty one for $38.

Something else to note about Super Programs, I sent my first one to eric and he managed to get it working but said it was the early design and later super programs were totally different electronics wise, so even if you get a parts camera for your sentimental one it may not be the right one.

I have also had one super program that had been serviced very quickly start having shutter button half press issues because there is no great way to pull that assembly apart and clean the contact properly I would guess. Luckily I was able to get it working with the electronics cleaner and a pencil eraser trick.

I gave eric 2 Super Programs for parts (one failed totally a year after servicing) that had failed and the last one he fixed for me I have since sold.
I do love that camera since I spent so much time with it back in the day but eventually I switched to an MX and then got out of film entirely.
