Pentax-M 2.8 35-70mm aperture repair question

Hello everyone!

I ran into an issue with my recently purchase Pentax-M 35-70 lens.. The aperture would be move correctly and I couldn't adjust my focal length to beyond 50mm.
I eventually managed to take off the lens mount ring ( I may need more screws now ) and noticed this spring seems to have sheered off

I am asking can I take the same spring from an existing mechanism from say a Pentax-M 50mm f2 and where would this have to be placed? And also can I Potentially the the screws too?

More pictures of the inside

Thanks everyone

If the springs are about the same size and the length of travel about the same - you can probably replace it.

If the screws fit, use them.

Note: Buy yourself a set of JIS drivers and you'll probably never strip a screw head again (threads are a different story).
