Adaptall-2 19AH Iris Issues

Note: Not Irish issues.

I was using my 19AH with the PK/A adapter, and as I was attaching it, it jammed and the aperture ring froze. When I looked inside, two of the iris blades appear to have come loose inside. I was considering opening it up and attempting repair. In the condition it's in (good other than the iris blades), I doubt it would be worth trying to sell. Plus, I rather like the lens. Anyone with experience opening this lens?

Hmm, maybe post over on MFlenses.com. This isn't really a Pentax repair and warranty issue, though. There's an Adaptall thread you can try: Adaptall Mount Club (Tamron). - Page 250 - PentaxForums.com

Not clear to me how that could have happened - the mount has a plate that pushes on a wheel that is on the end of a small lever that connects to the iris actuation. There isn't really anything to catch and break...
Getting at the iris looks like a complete disassembly, it's in the middle of the lens. There is some info here:

Google Translate

However even if you get there you may well find the iris isn't repairable if eg the hinge pins on the iris blades have broken/pulled out.
Bad do.

I agree, the iris mechanism couples passively to the mount.
