K1000 light meter repaired, now failed again

I had my k1000 fully serviced and light meter repaired last week but today the light meters failed again.

Originally the galvonometer hairspring and power wire were replaced to fix the light meter. I've tried replacing the battery again to no avail.

The company i took it to was in the US but i live in the UK so cant take it back.

Other than sending it to a UK company is there anything else i can try?

You could unscrew the 4 screws holding on the base plate and see if there is a loose connection there.
