Pentax 18-260mm "open"

Hello guys,

I've got a problem with my pentax 18-270mm.
My camera has fallen, it was from a small height, but the ground was hard.

The lens is "open", as seen in the picture. It's between the "zooming" ring and the back of the lens.
I've tried to push the front part to make re-attach it, but with no luck.

Do you have any idea how I could fix it?

That's going to need a trip to the service centre, I fear...

yes, almost certainly it will have damage inside and need new parts.

I would send it in to the service center for evaluation.
It may turn out to be uneconomic to fix.

That's what I was fearing.

Need to call the one near me and ask if the quote for the repair will be free.
