3D printed parts for Pentax

I hope this is in the right part of the forum. I finally started printing with 3D printing. The other day I printed some part for my K-3 and K-3 II and battery grips as I didnt find them for sale. I also designed a cap for my batteries. Can share the designs here if anyone is interested.

Uploading the .stl's onto thingiverse would be a good idea, some city library's have 3d printers and use the thingiverse website, some users here can get them 3d printed that way.

Here is a collection to my designes. I have just published two (both battery caps) but I am working on two more (battery grip contact cover for the K-3 I, II and probably III) and pin cover for D-BG5 battery grip. I have put some pentax-related stuff other people have designed in this collection.

Excellent. And for those who don't have access to a printer locally I can recommend printathing.com. A crowd-source consortium of people with printers who are willing to print stuff. Prices are excellent - $5 setup fee, $5 shipping (US domestic). Shipping might be more for larger items.

I ordered like 7 different cable management clips for my Meta (Oculus) Quest 2 and the total bill with shipping and setup was under $16 USD.

The lens racks are interesting but I think those would be expensive to print. Also what’s the comment about sport material mean?

I think you mean support material. I take it it is extra bracing the help keep the shape that you trim off later.

Here's one that will make a lot of people happy - lens release button for the K-5. It looks like it is designed to lock in place without having to open the camera and use a C clip:

Here's another one:

A long time ago there was a post where a member was selling 3-D printed battery hooks (the white piece that holds the battery in place) for the k-r, that wasn't available on uscamera.com as "part not available".
Does anybody know if that information is still available?

This is an ebay supplier I used. The part was a perfect fit. Best of luck to you!

Thank you

thank you very much.

I started the "investigation" and a co-worker, that has access to a 3D printer, ask me if I could find the cad drawing for the part, I found it and, voila, I have the part printed.
The installation is another thing, but maybe this next weekend I'll be taking pictures again.

Again, Thanks a lot.
