Taken a couple of years ago at Hyde Park, one of Perth's ( Western Australia) many suburban parks, on a morning outing. It was between rain showers & the sky lit up.
I loved the way the light came through the autumn leaves, casting a warm tone onto the water, submerged leaves add depth and points of interest.
The floating leaves completed the sense of tranquillity.

The coppery tones here, and the yellow and brown leaves just below the surface of the water, really spell out autumn. I like the surface tension, too, that stays some of the leaves from sinking: that and the ripples accentuate the ephemeral nature of everything captured in the tightly framed image.
