Truly strange, in this contest the theme is "close-up" and I've seen only flowers, why?

However, congratulations to all participants.

I'd like to apologize for the oversight, the title said Flowers up close, while I had read only up close!

Great job by all of the artists. I must agree that this is one of the more difficult contests to pick a favorite. I must say that the depth-of-field in some of these really does make me feel like some "stacking" must have been applied. I can never get that kind of front to back sharpness in my non-stacked MACRO work.

They are all great shots! But, as the contest is flowers up close, I had to go with #8. I like the detail of the flower in the photo. The bee in #7 is nice, but there isn't quite the sense of the flower to me.

Makes me feel most present in the here and now.

It has composition, light and interest all in spades!

Really impressive collection of finalists! It's great to see that so many entries embraced the "up close" aspect of the theme rather than just documenting pretty flowers.
