On a hot summer day a group of Sand Hill Cranes sought out a bit of shade under our Hickory tree in front of our house. Luckily there's not much traffic on our street, but the Cranes are quite accustomed to cars and grudgingly ambled to the side of the street when a vehicle approached then returned to their preferred location in the middle.
