'we always catch you safely'
Posted By: Peter Bermes, 05-02-2018, 04:39 AM

I shot this photo last Sunday when strolling with my wife about an exhibition park of a local concrete firm who had invited for a public walk in. My name is Peter Bermes, I'm an Industrial Designer (Engineering) aged 74 and Photography was part of my life ever since my parents presented me a 'Agfa Clack' on my 9th Birthday. After ending my professional life in 2013 when product photography was a daily asset, I returned to analogue shooting but keep the benefits of 'both worlds' like scans, post processing and correcting via Photoshop etc. of course. Most of all I enjoy the restauration of damaged & blind old cameras to try their 2nd life.In the wake of this I obtained my Pentax SP body wreck on the 'Bay' from its owner located in Jerusalem for a mere € 3,99 plus postage: No shutter movement at all, mirror stuck half way as well etc. After extensive & careful cleaning everything is well again, shutter running softly & reliable & the lightmeter still acting as a Diva sometimes...
