Dark-Edged Bee Fly
Contest Number: 170 Contest Theme: Insects Lens: Irx 150mm Macro Camera: K1 Shutter Speed: 1/2000s Aperture: F11

Bee Flies are territorial, often in three dimensions. They will often return to the same holding station and hover until the next rival enters their "airspace".

If you are prepared to be patient, you can slowly get into position and pre-focus.
