Taken from a moving boat along the Napali Coast of Karui (Hawaiian Islands, USA). The contrast between the clouds forming at the top and the still setting sun was dramatic, I think B&W enhances that. Cliffs are just over 2,000 feet tall, right out of the Ocean. Waves were probably 3-4 feet high, so it wasn't without it's challenges (not to mention splashing!). It wasn't until we got back from Hawaii that we learned about the "atmospheric river" that caused so much flooding in California later in December. This must have been the beginnings of the journey of the moisture.

Ironically, Pentax media influencer Joey Skibel on Instagram was just there within a few weeks of our family's visit. He had posted a picture from the other side of those cliffs from another amazing area called "Wiamea Canyon."
