Priorities... good thing I can forget about drinking for a while now
I here ya, my plan to get a K-1 involves not drinking for a year. I was raised as a Qualer (Religious Society of Friends) and they were big in the temperance movement, so I didn't start drinking until a read a study that said a beer a day will make you live two years longer in my late 50s. SO if I die in the next year, it's the K-1's fault.

But... if you drink two a day, you lose the advantage of the one. SO you have to drink one and stop. Easy for me, I'm not really a drinker, impossible for some people.

The high cost of living sucks . . . . . .

Yeah, well, I'll just need to work a few more hours of overtime to pay my bar tab.

I'm not sure you can even pass engineering at any university worth it's salt without being able to hold a least a 6 pack at a party.
It has always been like that.
I just got back from 4 days in a conference with 33 engineers, from 11 countries, in Taichung.

The first night they walked to a seafood restaurant and during dinner, put away 130 bottles of Taiwan Beer.

The second night was by bus at an outdoor beer place, they got stuck into it again, with 1.5 litre tankards of draught
and the ritual toasting. It ended with the young ladies sponsoring a cell phone photo shoot which in retrospect might have been a bit ragged
and is so far not posted on the proceedings.

This confererence has been going on for nearly 30 years, by now I am the oldest standing and I don't even try to keep up.

If you're retired, unfortunately you don't get overtime for being retired on the weekends.

And I thought Canada had a better pension plan.

Here is my favorite beer of the moment, however all of the beers made by the good people at Boulevard are quite awesome.

Trust me, there is a lot of dumb stuff the "average American" spends money on... Myself included!

Luckily though, my Fiancee works at a local brewery so I get some amazing ales for free (most of the time)
