This shows your Irix wasn't giving you flare from point sources, Jstgeorge, your filter was.

I hope when you removed it, you did so at high speed into a nearby bush.

WOW ! Quality images here...keep them coming. Love the landscapes, the kids, the bees, the flowers and finding it very difficult to choose between Gabby & Honey (sigh)....can I call that one a draw ?

Wow, great photos posted by folks.
Shot of the elusive catbird and the phoebe that lives on my house, guess it is their house as well...

An attempt to capture the night sky at the beach. The red light is to protect Sea Turtles that come to the beach.

5 min exposure at ISO 100 and f/2.8 with the astro tracer. DFA 15-30mm.

I found it quite challenging to get rid of the blur from the astro tracer at the trees. I didn't leave enough room to move up the foreground.

I just spent the night in Yellowstone, but we hardly slept. We were up all night trying to capture some neat night scenes. Our plans were foiled by a low fog that filled the valleys, blocking the sky from most of the areas we wanted to capture the milky way with. This shot of the milky way was done as we drove up out of the valley for a moment and we pulled over just to have something that night. We drove back into the fog and never saw it again that night

Rokinon 14mm, 20 seconds, 1600 ISO

I was having a really hard time focusing that night (something that has never happened before with this camera and lens, I might post about that later in another thread...), so this is a little off but still cool. Old Faithful going off with stars behind it.

Rokinon 14mm, 25 seconds, 200 ISO

Some other fun ones from the visit:

Self-portrait in my fuzzy boots (C'mon, it was cold that morning!)
