Okay, guys and gals, I finally took my K-1 out to shoot for real and decided to share. I took four lenses with me and am glad I did because I found a use for each of them. Below there's one photo taken with each lens.

Please be gentle...but honest. I am always looking to improve my photography so do appreciate critiques.
Dunnottar Castle - Irix 15mm f16 1/50 ISO100
Isle of Iona D FA 28-105 @ 63mm f16 1/250 ISO100
Tobermory, Isle of Mull DA* 55 f11 1/100 ISO100
Curious Puffin on Lunga in the Treshnish Isles DA* 300 f10 1/125 ISO200
Hey Ed, there is nothing to go gentle about! Fantastic start. You have good instincts for perspective, and you know how to get a sharp, proper exposed pic.
We won't be able to teach you much that nature didn't already bless you with. The key is to get out and DO IT! Camera's don't take pic's while sitting at home or in our bags.
Well done and welcome.
Eric

That first shot is silly sharp Frederic!
Like this version of the night shot even better than the last... less red flare maybe why? Not sure, but cool anyway!

Thank you Eric ! The clouds caused the red flare... Had to wait 20 minutes with +3°C in summer clothes...

First trip out to the local zoo this year. Had to renew the membership. I took just the K-1, the DA*60-250 and my Tamron 1.41 TC.

DA*60-250 @ 250mm, F5, 1/200s, ISO500

This one is a deep crop, I should have used the TC. 250mm f5.6, 1/250s, ISO 640

I was able to get much closer here, 250mm, f5, 1/200s, ISO 400

This one is with the DA*60-250 at 250mm

This one is from the safe spot with the DA*60-250 and the Tamron 1.4TC at 250mm. Since the Tamron TC does not send the correct Focal Length to the camera I turn SR off.
