I must admit that... I can't ever remember hearing such a set up.

The first image is particularly successful. Plain white flowers are difficult - easily washed out so that no surface texture or modeling is visible.

As always you post images worthy of prolonged appreciation. And thank you for spreading them over several posts rather than combining them in one as is your usual style. Soon we can all go back to normal - - more or less.
Thank you ! Indeed separating them is better so you can like only those you find interesting

"...only those you find interesting...?" More probable that I'll have to click on the thumbs-up button four times instead of only once.

I've figured out that calibration should be done at the place of shooting and with tripod attached, reason is, the tripod head is not made of non-magnetic material that shift the compass after calibration if the calibration is done with camera detached from the tripod.
thanks for advice Biz but Im not sure I understand. Do you sugeest I do the precise calibration with the Tripod attached (but retracted I guess) ?
Last saturday I was in a different location than the previous time and still had no success calibrating.

It says that it is calibrated, indicate a 5min max exposure but when I try even 40 seconds the stars are blurry and I notice the movement of stars.
I really would like to see a video of this calibration process AND the immediate result on the back LCD.

Thank you Sir

Really nice shot !

The rhum mixed in a 'ti punch, or a planteur on a warm evening, is a must for all night shooters

For the calibration I mount a small lens (FA35 or 40XS), so it's easier to turn the camera...

I'm using Sequator for stacking my shots. The trick is to shoot a lot of base shoots (stars) and some DOFs : Darks, Offsets and Flats.
Darks (same time, same iso but cap on),
Offsets (1/8000, same iso, cap on) and
Flats (Av mode, same iso shooting a uniform light source (f.ex. paper and phone)).
Thanks Frederic.

I've made another MW session this last WE. condition were not so great because of Moon and City lights pollution but I did what you suggested, Dark, offsets and flats.
Astrotracer OFF cause Im bad at calibration I think.
Ill see how it goes and report here.
