House After Sunset.

Purple Coneflower.

Both are shot with DFA 100 macro and using pixel shift. I really do like that feature. As long as it is reasonably still and I don't oversharpen it in DCU, the results are pretty amazing.

I have a ton of Tree Huggers around here.....

Even at ISO 6400 in Crop Mode and cropped another 50% in processing, the K1 delivers a usable shot. He was surrounded by other objects that can confuse the AF, but it locked instantly on him.......I do love this camera! Best Pentax ever!

Regards!

I will say that my biggest struggle with the K-1 is getting adequate depth of field. f11 on full frame should be similar to f8 on APS-C, but I don't find it quite is and I often get softness in the distance of my landscapes as a result. I probably either need to stop down to f16 and lose a little to diffraction or figure out focus stacking (not an exciting proposition to me).
Sounds like you need the Samyang 24mm T/S

Nice shot...but it looks like the rear eye is sharp and in focus. So either you need to do a little MFA with this lens or the camera for whatever reason decided to focus on the right eye if you were in auto.

How much cropping did you need to do on the 18-35 image?

its a body sway problem - made worse by the crop enlargement. Don't know if it was her sway, my sway or both. At 1/10 sec I'm amazed I got any kind of image. However I like the unusual look to the picture that it causes. Gives her a mischievous look that captures how she really is.
