A few more images from then last few days.

K-1 DA 55-300, sometimes it covers the FF circle, most of the time it doesn't. At it's worst, it probably vignettes on APS-c.

It was worth it.

Yeah, that is why I was enjoying the DA*300mm and the DFA150-450mm for those kind of shots, to help keep my distance.

I took a quick trip to Letchworth State Park in Western New York this afternoon, The humidity was high so there is a lot of haze in the shots but still a great park to visit. And Old farts like me get in free Monday through Friday. A few shots from today. Sort of mini Grand Canyon of the east. The gorge reaches 600 feet (182 meters) (deep in places. The bridge carries trains over the upper falls area of the park. It is brand new and replaced a 140 year old structure that was badly our of date. I like the single arch design. I think it fits into the scenery pretty good.

More from Letchworth. All the stone structures here were built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) during the Great Depression.

Few photos of a sunset without clouds are as pretty as that one. Love the transition of colors in the sky & again the shaded area to the gentle sun lit foreground. A very nice capture, well done...I enjoyed admiring that scene for several minutes. And you being a cloud man so to speak, very nice indeed.
Best Regards, Bob

Events were the primary use I gave that old lens, captured many fine candid shots. You certainly did well with those photos.

I knew that was the reason for your cute remark...but I just had to say that. Actually I often remind myself that it is mainly in the eye of the shooter...just wish my eye knew what I was talking about.

Letchworth is such a fantastic place, love going there. You did a fine job to capture the beauty and to show the incredible stone work.

Thank you. The amount of masonry in the park is amazing. Retaining walls, picnic tables. several bridges for both hikers and automobiles. Houses for park personnel, the small museum and even the rest rooms. Some of the hiking trails will take you into picnic areas that are overgrown and rarely used yet the faithful stone tables still stand guard waiting for guests. The table in the photograph can probably seat 20 people.
