Hey !!!!

Did you know that they are called here "Gros Bec" (big beak) and when they are coming back from you, they get better colours...

Hmm, I did not know that about the "big beak", interesting but I disagree about the better colours...
Also, I hate to say it but that really IS a very good moon shot...finally

Best Regards, Bob

Thank you Norm. Quite often I go to that website to confirm identifications but never thought to look there for the range map. That is very good to know and I will be checking there for other birds.
Best Regards, Bob

This video and above picture were taken from same spot, same day. Till this video, I did not take DSLR as video tool at all. But this video surprised me. Now making short clips is part of my photography.

Hey Rondec, how you find the DA* 55 in comparison to the FA77 (and FA43 if you have it)? I feel a little uneasy about not having a WR lens currently, I might look out for a second hand DA*55 just for those wetter moments. Just curious to hear from a FA user whether you're content and happy with the DA*55 results and use.

(Nice shots by the way, as always

I've been pretty happy with the DA *55. I think the out of focus rendering of the FA 77 is a little better. Focus is pretty slow on the DA *55, but I don't use it for fast moving stuff so that is OK. Without the hood it is really about the same size as the FA 77 (I usually leave the hood off when I'm shooting it on the K-1). There's definitely less fringing with the DA *55 than the FA 77. I don't own the FA 43, so can't really compare it with that.

Overall, I'm pleased enough that I haven't upgraded to the DFA *50 and probably won't although I probably will upgrade the FA 77 to the DFA *85 when that monstrous lens comes out.
