Nice shots. It's getting hot over here. Would you have pictures of ice cream?

Great work, Aaron. Under the trees is a terrible place to take photographs because of the sickly green cast over skin, by using a flash, the true colours are retained!

I used to see a few box turtles every summer when we first moved to MessyChewBits, but their numbers even then were declining. I have not seen one for the past 30 years. The are strictly protected - it's illegal to even pick one up - but it may be too late. Even if there are some still around, their numbers are probably too low for the species to recover.

Come visit FL... I think all your turtles followed me down here when I left Taxachusettes in around the same time in 81...

I keep forgetting how well that lens works for you on a K1. I've been carrying an Art 35, DFA 50 and DFA 85 for portrait shoots, none of which are light or compact. I have another one planned Friday at a fire station and I think that's one of the two lenses I'll take, the 31 or 35 being the other.

Thank you ! I'm sorry but presently we are entering an ice age period here, so I can only show very hot meals

Clackers is smart, he knows that for a sharp girl he needs a sharp lens
This underrated lens is so sharp that I'm cutting myself every time I mount it
Very sharp for macros too

There are still plenty of painted turtles and snappers but spotted turtles, musk turtles, mud turtles, box turtles, diamond back terrapin (once a prime edible turtle) and a few other species are all severely endangered here, and IMHO will inevitably go extinct in the northeast. As I noted, I have not seen a single box turtle for about 30 years despite walking in the woods at least five times a week.

That's odd. We have lots of Box Turtles in Virginia. I see them on the roads a lot in the spring, which worries me because of the fear that someone will hit them, but they are definitely around.
