The hills have greened up nicely.

Garden shots with Leica 35-70mm vario-Elmar-R f 4.0 macro

NOTE: This lens is like the Pentax-FA 77mm that my wife calls our magic lens. She calls it that because almost every shot is a keeper. The 77mm has a way of making even an unplanned, poorly framed shot into something that looks purposeful in a way you never thought of. However, my wife has permanently appropriated the 77mm from me, and if I borrow it she is back at me immediately about returning it. The Leica 35-70mm vario-Elmar-R f 4.0 macro is the answer for me, helped out by the Leica-R 90mm on the slightly longer end. Used to be, I tended to pray and spray, taking lots of shots to find keepers, but now I take fewer shots because I get many more keepers, and what the heck can you do with too many keepers? I guess you could start trying to sell photos, but that is a tough business! Too bad I only discovered Leica-R lenses after I turned 80 years old; maybe I could have made something of myself!
