Around Every Corner A Surprise...

I'm not really a "Car Nut" but... this has more exciting curves, than should be allowed in the Automotive world.

Last photo appeared to be a fully charged bat-tree. Nice.

The reason I purchased a K-1 mkii is for the low-light performance. For example, see this Flickr album of photos taken anywhere from ISO 10000-65535 at a bar in the Mission District of San Francisco.

While I still love my K-3 and even my K-r, this blows them away for that specific situation (and many others).

Nice Work!

Very nice! That 50mm really shines. I do see a few funky pixels with the Tamron, but still very nice!

K-1 & dfa*50 1.4

It's been a while since I've shot anything with K-1.. Shooting with mirrorless has been fun. Z5 with FTZ adapted Nikkor 105/1.4 and native 40/2 work great for me, love the bokeh and rendering etc.

BUT, last week I took my K-1 with DFA* 50/1.4 attached out of the cabinet and tried to take some shots of our new rescue dog Aapo. Battery was still half full, camera was still a heavy beast, but felt good .
LV on, living room lights on and ISO 1600-2000 and wide open aperture. No eye animal AF sadly, but focus peaking is still one of the best I feel if AF does not react fast enough..

Anyway, still love this combo. A few shots I took with minimal editing in ON1 2022:

Aww man... yeah, it would have been very hard to leave that face behind bars, especially if I had the wife along. (That's why I avoid going into those places unless we are actively looking for a new family member)

Great job with the old workhorse, and congrats on the new pup!

Thank you . Yeah, it was a fast decision to adopt the boy, he just took our hearts instantly.
