Yes, I always assumed that following all the instructions with a full battery would make it a fail-safe operation. I took all the right steps on my K-7, but still bricked it. That may very well have been a "once in a blue moon event," but my possibly irrational fear still prevents me from trying again.

Something like that. I processed it in rawtherapee, but then I tried to get the exposure better and did something with the shadows in Faststone. Looks like that was a mistake.

I have looked at this image a few times and only just now spotted the close hay bale on the right! Those lightning bolts are a draw to the eye, at least my eyes.
