HD 1.4 TC works great with the DA*300 on the K-1. Some shots with this setup in crop mode back on page 42.

Looking for shots with the 16-50mm and the 50-135mm and the 1.4x together. Interested in seeing how it works in FF mode

Down here in Texas high school football is king, and its almost always football season. Here is Another American Icon: The Defending State and National Champion Katy Tigers in spring training. Notice the heads in the stands; its a middle of the week practice session and Katy has drawn a crowd of spectators. Only in Texas.

DA* 55 + nice cars = nice images!

A couple more gorgeous specimens from the Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4.
The first is wide open - I've never seen such wide-open sharpness and lack of aberration from a lens as old as this.

You can see the vignetting of DA 1.4X on a FF lens here:

I don't have the 16-50 or 50-135 lenses, but anyway they can only be worse than this...

Found my old CZ Planar 50/1.4 T* that I converted and captured this mountain on the way into work, early morning light, hand held. This camera has been a dream so far.

No Tripod

The shake reduction technology of the K-1 has to be one of its greatest feature. I have been successful returning sharp images consistently at focal length 450 as far down as 1/60". I feel quite at ease leaving the tripod at home.

I recommend a hearty snort of the old Glenfiddich and a deep breath before pressing the trigger. A deep breath before every press of the trigger, not a snort of the bottle !

Lens: Pentax 150-450
Just testing the K-1 shake reduction and the Pentax 150-450mm D FA
The cake shop window was taken with 1/60" at 330mm hand held
The street shot was taken with 1/250" at 290mm also hand held. The left upper corner is a 100% crop of this shot.

Cheers

A fun evening of jazz and sisig near Brisbane! I also caught some fun flowers on another nearby occasion.. And the turtle is a special one. That's the K-1 view camera edition, with a Fujinon-W 5.6/210mm lens on the front. Action shot included for giggles.

Using the normal, non mobile version of Flickr, view the image, click the share arrow thing, and copy the BBCode link. Just paste that link into the forum post
