One of your best...excellent!

Those are great shots! Most of what I post are heavy crops. I love to crop!

Thanks Rupert! I have a younger cardie here that sings my ears off every morning. Not sure if he's singing to his girlfriend or complaining about squirrels, but he sure do sing loud and proud.

The advance to the 09:00 bus isn't so big Superb second shot !
Thank you. Just one of several buses that arrive. By 10 or so the parking lots at the main attractions are usually full. So I usually enter the park about 6:00 AM and then visit the less crowded parts of the park. The day before was very windy and a lot of tourists lost hats into the Excelsior Geyser Crater. The rangers have long retrieval tools to pick them up. The second photo is part of the crowd gathered to watch Old Faithful. The parking lot at the Old Faithful Visitor's Center is the size of a mall parking lot at a good size city.

The cropability of the K-1 RAW files leaves me staggered. Just when you think, nah, I can't do that, you try it and find that you can!

Eeeeeny meeeeny miiiiny mo, pick a crop you'd like to show?

Tight crop
Pentax K-1 Tamron SP AF 70-200mm F2.8 Di LD [IF] Macro ƒ/5.0 160.0 mm 1/125 iso100

Medium crop
Pentax K-1 Tamron SP AF 70-200mm F2.8 Di LD [IF] Macro ƒ/5.0 160.0 mm 1/125 iso100

Almost full image, but still cropped for framing
Pentax K-1 Tamron SP AF 70-200mm F2.8 Di LD [IF] Macro ƒ/5.0 160.0 mm 1/125 iso100

Yup, I feel exactly the same, my jaw drops when I see what I can get away with when cropping with the K-1. Some examples;

I buy them mouthwash but the just drink it up for the alcohol in it.

Nice ones FS...I like the little birdie! You need to tell us what the food is when you post it...if you even know? It looks good, but I need more information before I can say I'd try it?

Nice Cardinal there Rupert.

From last night experimenting with the Sigma 12-24 on the K-1. 30 second exposure, ISO 250, f8, 19mm. 19mm was the shortest focal length I could use without getting the camera and tripod's shadow in it.

Thanks man!

Here's all the camera info:
Pentax K-1 on an ancient Bogen Manfrotto 3001 tripod and 3030 head
Pentax D-FA 24-70mm @ 24mm & f2.8 (as tempting as the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 is I just can't justify having two lenses with the same focal length)
5 shots at 25s @ ISO 2000 stacked for the sky via Smart Object Median mode and 2 separate shots for the light trails triggered via WiFi

The hardest part by far is the post processing! Even with all the tutorials out there I'm still struggling to find a look I'm happy with but it's getting there.

From Southern California

A few shots from a recent trip to Southern California. Two from the beach and two from the desert. The only one that has been edited is the lizard shot which was cropped and lightened.

Fantastic shot, have always wanted to try some night shots like this.

With the DFA 28-105, Pixel Shift. These Pixel Shift images take a lot longer in post than I am used to.

100%(1:1) Crop

Still working on a post processing flow for these PS images.
