I'm holding my tongue Racer.....trying my best not to be a "Rupert Type".

I'm sort of a duck out of water in this thread.....still shooting in the crop mode, and loving it.

I tested the SR today and found it superb.

1/50 Handheld @ 500mm....his tail moved!

1/50 @ 500mm Handheld

1/25 @ 450 mm Handheld

1/40 @ 500mm Handheld

Since the Bigma focuses like a Jackrabbit on the K1 I can now get shots of these fast moving jittery Jays with ease!

He called his buddy for some portrait shots.

Another K1 fun day for old Rupert!

Regards!

There is testament to the worthiness of Pentax's SR technology that despite your misspent youth your handheld photographs are pin sharp.

Cheers

Yep, SR is amazing, this is hand held with DA*300mm, 1/100, plus the spider was moving as well.

Oh come on Jim. What is there about great wings that could get a "Rupert Type" cross threaded here?

Go straight to your local Hooters and get a mess of wings right now!

Tip: Phone your order in and it will be ready when you arrive!

What's this?

You don't have any full frame glass?

Say it ain't so!

OK everyone.

We need to take up a collection for Ol' Rupert, so he can enjoy the best that the K-1 has to offer.

Whadda ya say people?

Man is using a BIGMA, that is a fine fine full frame lens, he just wants the extra OOMPH of a pre-set 1.5x crop.

Here's a photo from my first day out with the K-1. This was taken at a Japanese street fashion enthusiasts meetup with the SMC Pentax-FA* 85mm F1.4 [IF]. The photo was overexposed so I decided to fiddle with this one first.

Redwood walkabout

Spent the day enjoying some quiet in the redwoods. Here are a few from the hike. I will say the 28-105 is a perfect walk-around lens.
