Suggestion for all posting pix: If your FF mode image has been cropped or substantially corrected, please note that, so that viewers don't wrongly assume that it covers FF better than it does. Love your images, btw.
Completely agree. Yet, I strongly suspect the majority of images in here have been what I'd consider 'substantially corrected' in post. Any pull of shadows, highlights, contrast, micro-contrast, or sharpness is this in my book. Which means this thread, as a repository of SooC examples of what this camera and various lens combinations, is not very useful.

It is, however, quite enjoyable to look at more non-academically..

You may be right, though I think a lot of the images are SOOC. But does it really matter: we are not lab testing the K-1, but seeing what can be done with it. What comes out of any camera is not what one actually sees in one's mind when taking the photograph, in any case. And let's face it, there are some beautiful images in this thread.

I think most of the images have been post processed, but not necessarily "corrected." I know it is semantics, but I really seldom check the lens correction box either in Lightroom or on the camera when shooting jpegs. At the same time, I do adjust highlights/burn the sky and do sharpening on images.

I think the concern expressed was understanding what lenses would work on the K-1 decently in full frame mode and which ones really require a pretty close to APS-C crop. For instance, as Kengoh said, I have found the DA 55-300 is actually pretty usable on full frame between 55 and 200mm, but after that it has really heavy vignetting at all apertures that is not correctable in post. The DA 55 works pretty well in full frame mode as well, although the camera defaults to APS-C mode.

I'm really loving the colors I'm seeing out of this camera. The shots in this thread reflect that.

Here's another shot of the foxes. There were two that visited last night. Hope the other one was just being shy.

Correct. The modifications I meant were cropping and digitally removing significant vignetting that would otherwise limit use in FF mode. The images are still beautiful, but I'd not want to mistakenly assume that a particular lens is good uncropped if it isn't.

Okay it´s time again for some of my shots

Last weekend I finally had the chance to try the K1 at a larger festival - Rockavaria in Munich. Here are some of my shots with the K1 + DA* 60-250 from Powerwolf and Nightwish. Did pp on all of them in Lightroom.

I have to admit, I´m ing impressed with the 36MP of the K1, I really have to get used to it and its crop possibilities. Focus with the 60-250 was not super fast, yet way more reliable then on my K5 when less light was avaiable! I really like the combo, but still the shiny new 70-200 is kinda flirting with me Well maybe santa will carry one for me with him

PS: I was shocked non of the other ~70 photographers used Pentax
