Wow, wonderful! Tamron 70-200mm is really great and you've been using it nicely.
Thanks DimC! I have really enjoyed using this lens. I was a little angry with the repair facility over a cracked cam barrel repair charge a couple months ago, but I've gotten over it

Thanks Frederic!
Your post's continue to inspire.

I don't know how some of you people can keep up such a high level of quality posts with such consistency, and you can really start to get a feel for people's individual styles after watching this thread a while.

Not only in taking pictures, but in their post processing as well.

Fascinating, and very enjoyable. I look forward to sharing and participating in what meager way I can every week and it has become a hobby unto-itself.
Thanks all!
Eric

Got to remember to keep those promises... As I told Rupert, this little guy sings up an amazing storm every morning, and I finally got some fair lighting to catch him out in the open. My wife & I turn off the morning depression (news) just to listen to him sing.

It's a tight crop, much tighter than APSC crop mode, but not nearly pixel level either, somewhere in-between.

Soft bee... there was a soft glow of diffused light that morning and I tried to catch it, and the bee. I came close, but you just had to bee there,

I've got a lot more of this guy, as I was trying some new idea's for catching BIF's (bugs in flight) there will be a few of those this week, I am finishing up post processing on those.

More wonderful shots, everyone (special mention to Sagnik for the beautiful macros!) - and thanks Frederic (FS999) for your comment!

Yes, Dim, the 60-250 does great on K-1 and hits a great size/weight/performance point. I do wish there was some official modified (fully FF) rear baffle available for the lens. Surely it is not beyond Pentax service to offer this, I think a closer relationship with its customers would differentiate Pentax from it's competitors. Dragging around the 15-30, 24-70 and 70-200 is tiring after a while. And that doesn't even consider the 150-450!

When will someone make a quality FF 12-560mm f1.2 - f4 with a 49mm filter thread and weather sealing all under 500g?

A couple here from the 15-30.... after a slightly slow start from me I am starting to get the hang of this lens. Blue skies yesterday in Skye, Scotland. The first is a panorama (2 shots, but largely overlapped, the view after cropping is only a small amount wider than 15mm I think).
Amazing images John - I seriously need to get up to Skye for a visit - a friend used to go every year and I've never been which is just daft! The big issue is it's a heck of a drive from Sussex I guess and the weather is so unpredictable even in Summer so it always seems easier to settle for Dorset! Gorgeous place though beautifully captured!
