That appears a bit dark. Maybe pull up the exposure few stops?

Nice shot. Maybe just bring the shadows up some. Should be plenty of DR for that.

Thanks, I should have stated it was early dawn (fixed now) so was still fairly dark and the wind was way too strong for a tripod so all was handheld. I pulled as much DR as I could without it looking odd, which is a real testament to what the K-1 is capable of.

Going over some shots from 2016.

K1+FA31ltd

Quite the reportage style lens imo for streets/people/candids.

I absolutely love what this lens brings to the K1 table, spent a month in SE Asia earlier this year and only took this one lens + K1...had no regrets whatsoever.

I'm confused.

Whilst this thread is full of wonderful images, why are some images taken either in full frame or cropped? i would have thought that buying a full frame camera meant that all images were, FF?

I'm genuinely curious, I have a K1 cw 28-105mm arriving soon to review and I'd like to get the best out of it.

In post #8755 I showed two images taken in FF Square mode. I used the square ratio from my artistic perspective and not because the DFA28-105 could have captured bad technical results in full FF mode!
A DFA28-105 picture in a classic 2:3 composition with good sharpness IMO ...

I rented a K-1 as this thread had me drooling all over my keyboard.....I decided to mount my 1.4 TC to my D FA 150-450 and do some deep crops. WOW, the resolution and tilt screen have me sold! Pentax really did right with this Camera.

Below are before and after as shot in FF mode other than the crop and resizing.

Thanks for spending my money
