I've been lucky enough to travel across the world to see and photograph some of the most stunning creations of mother nature. However, after four weeks travelling through the remote, rugged outback of North Western Australia, I'd have to say that the beauty of this region is up there with anything I've laid eyes upon.

This was taken at sunrise, hang gliding over Shothole Canyon, in the Cape Range National Park, 1100km north of Perth, with the K1.

Nice shot wtlwdwgn. don't have the zoom capability you do with this lens on the K-1, but I'll have the best of all Pentaxian worlds for bird photography when I get a KP.
Thanks. I did take the shot with a K-1 and used the 36 megapickles to crop in close. APS-C does work better for distant wildlife.

Wonderful! I really need to get up to that region. Looks amazing!
I live in the USA but my family is from Perth. Such beautiful rugged country. Hang gliding sure looks fun too.

It appears that gaweidert took a picture of wtlwdwgn taking a picture of the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone. We met up with Steve for a few hours today. Steve drove over form Billings for a joint photo outing. Thanks for coming Steve. It was good to see you again.
