The point is that I thought that this thread was for photos taken by K1 and K1mkII. The photo I commented on was taken by a K20D.

Well the ambiguous thread title could be interpreted as post pictured of your K1.

Appropriate models for the thread.

Is it a matter of the image or of the camera used to create the image? Would it be appropriate for me to use my K-1 to create a photo of my TLR Yashica-Mat EM Copal-MXV with its Yashinon 80mm f 3.5 lens? (Actually, I am glad I asked that question because I just checked and find that the Yashica still has film installed and is waiting picture No. 4 to be taken. I realize that the OP asked the question in jest, and my post is made in the same spirit. >)

Testing the boundaries :>)

Photo of long-neglected Yashica-Mat TLR, abandoned in the middle of a roll of film the day I received the Pentax K-10. (With apologies to professional product photographers everywhere.)

KIT: Pentax K-1 with Mamiya-A 120mm f 4.0 macro 1:1.

I was just giving you a hard time. As long as its a shot by a Pentax camera, or of a Pentax camera, and the K20D isn't trying to take over the thread, I'll allow it! (or well, I don't think we have to be all that strict.)
I mean, honestly, we can all modify the EXIF data anyway at the end of the day

BUT.. I happened to have a K20D sitting on a shelf collecting dust, (very dusty, you can see in the photo), so it was just ASKING to be in this thread. I felt a little bad, so took it out yesterday and took some shots with it. I would say I wont post them here because its not a K-1, but really, its because my place is a mess and you don't want to see that.

K-1 • FF mode • DA*11-18 @ 15mm (recorded as 14mm) • f/11 • C1Pro LCC-Profile does a nice job for this image ...

the original image without adjustments ...

First little bit of snow two days ago and It was crazy cold but I had to take some images with my extended tripod ...

Capture Scenery shot with Canon Powershot G10, K-1 attached to Novoflex Triopod with leg extensions, height in total a little bit more than 2 meters.

Amazing details, sharpness and colours in Raw Therapee PSR developed images - unfortunately not usable with LCC-Profiles because these only work with raw files. To get rid of vignetting, C1Pro vignetting tool applied to the 16 bit tiff file. Works in this case ok IMO.

K-1 • FF mode • DA*11-18 @ 16mm • f/7.1 • Pixel Shift Resolution

Love those photos, each great in its own way. That Porst 135/1.8 must be one fine lens and have a great minimum focal distance as well to get such nice closeups on both the food and the camera.

I would say not. I think this thread should be for pictures taken for the art of the picture, not for the technicalities of the subject. There are other forums for that; for example I have been taking pictures lately showing a repair of a flash unit and I happened to use my K-1 to take the pictures. But I would not dream of posting those pictures in this thread, they are in the Flash and Lighting thread. It would be the same with the "Your Latest Acquisition Thread" - it is irrelevant what cameras are used to take those shots, the pictures are functional.

Of course there can be grey areas and we have to tolerate that. I sometimes wonder if it really justified to separate the different camera picture threads (although film, K10-D and MF would want to be different), but OTOH a single thread for them all would be a bit overwhelming in terms of numbers.
