Hey Rick, sorry I did not get back to you sooner. We were out of town for a few days. 30 second tracking is the best that I can do with the 300mm so far. Astrotracer was well behaved on that cold night. I still had to cull some subs and used the best. If you get consistent star trails, turn astrotracer off and back on then do the precise calibration again, repeat if necessary. Have fun with it!!
The Whirlpool was 40 x 30 second light, 10 dark,14 flat and 11 bias images. f4, ISO 800.
The nebula was 86 x 30 second light, 10 dark, 14 flat, and 12 bias images. f4, ISO 1600.
