Great use of the 85*. I never used mine, just kept is as my premier portrait lens. Now I will have to give it try. Those trees are fantastic!

Thanks, definitely give it a go..... The DFA*85's amazing for these types of shots, if you can find the compositions. Here's another recent one.....

And just to show the 24-70 is no slouch either:

Thanks. I will give it a try, the 85*, that is, as soon as we get some interesting light. I've got the trees. I am assuming you are using the K-1. I am not a big fan of zoom lenses. However, I do have one that I really like adapted to the K-1. I am referring to the Pentax 67 55-100mm f 4.5, but it is actually quite large and even weighs more than the camera. I have several lenses that I call my SOOC crew, and it is one of them.

K-1ii & 70-200 last night.
Either the shot is reversed or someone failed Roman Numerals in school.

Nice capture.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out what it means. Apparently this is an old family cattle brand from a ranching family that has been here for generations.

Love it. A bit of a self portrait too in there. The detail is in the shadows.

Thanks George. It's hard to hide yourself with 11mm.
