Wild rocks & Desert Big Horn rams in Nevada

Highlights from my trip last month to Arizona & Nevada. The rock formation is called Fire Wave, located in Valley of Fire State Park, NV.
We stumbled upon the rams looking for a campsite.

Nice close up & choice of depth of field, fs999. I continue to be impressed with the IQ & dreamy look of the Sigma Art 18-35. Also, love your Pentax logo statement!
Thank you ! I must update it with all those mirrorless stuff

The spring rains are filling normally dry creek beds, and injecting life in fugitive waterfalls....

Like the fugitive waterfalls coverage. They won't last long. Do you find the gimbal head preferable for landscapes? I've always thought of them for big teles and wildlife/sports. I don't have a gimbal.

Thanks,
barondla

I'm on the hunt for a larger ball head. My Manfrotto 496RC2 (which I adapted to Arca) is too small for say the DFA 15-30. I picked up the carbon fibre Benro and Gimbal last Fall and have been learning to use it. It balances my Sigma 120-400 OK. I have a wide angle adapter for it, so it serviceable for the big wide angle but probably not ideal. The rig is lighter than my Manfrotto 055 and 804RC2. The DFA 70-210 is a bit light, it would probably balance oK with a KP but the K1 is too heavy.

Note about that pic, it is a focus stack - to get some water freezing shutter speeds, i was shooting wide open and higher ISO.
