You consistently post excellently focused and pleasingly balanced images. Will you share a couple things? For focus, are you frequently using a tripod (or other camera support). Are these RAW (and what is your common post processing technique) or if jpeg from the camera, what jpg settings do you prefer?

Thank you !
I use a tripod only for long exposures. I shoot only RAW, mostly underexposed by 1 or even 2 Ev, it is the only way to recover shadows without burning highlights. I use Corel PaintShop Pro with Topaz Denoise and Topaz Clarity or Adjust. And sometimes Topaz Texture Effects.

First outing with my new 150-450 zoom last night. I had a nice composition in mind with the mountains of the Collegiate Peaks range but the thick low clouds blocked it. So I went with this more generic composition to try this lens out once the moon became visible. It was hard to get a steady shot with some gusty wind but managed to get a couple of decently sharp ones. The lens seems great.

Good start with a great lens Matt.
The hood does tend to act like a sail in the wind though, heh heh.

Maybe not the prettiest foreground but the rainbow and crepuscular rays were pretty cool. There was a double rainbow before I went inside to grab the camera and of course it was gone when I came back out. K-1 II and K 28mm f/3.5.
