The smoke from the fires out west in the Northern US, BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Northern Ontario is starting to permeate across the continent to us in the east. It isn't so obvious on the moon but it is definitely visible on the setting sun.

That second image is exactly what my garden was supposed to look like. In fact, it's mostly green from plants I did not plant or anticipate. But they are a vigorous bunch.
