The ruby-throated hummingbirds have become regular visitors to the feeders so I suspect they are preparing to migrate. These shots were with my K1ii and Pentax DA* 300.

Swished through Color Efex Pro for that filmy look... 70-210 and late summer horizon light...May not be fine art, but I just love the analogue look.

here's something a little different, solar photography. First attempt was a success. Caught a few sun spots. (150-450mm & 1.5x teleconverter)

Nice images. What are you using to filter the sunlight?

There seems to be a discussion going on in scientific circles at the moment as to whether we’re entering a quiet or strong period, so being prepared for anything when it comes to sunspot imaging seems to be the approach.

Between the Aurora groups & Shortwave Radio groups I'm part of, I get lots of solar activity alerts.

Garden flowers with the Helios 44-K4 58mm f 2.0. This is a pretty good flower lens, adequate MFD, good swirly bokeh, and nice rendering.
