Yeah its about 110 years old and pretty unique (in the Southern hemisphere at least) as its still running commercially (thanks to sailing in fresh water). Its still coal fired for now (although it may be converted to "green" fuel soon).

UV image. Pentax K-1 converted to full spectrum by Kolari Vision. Nikon El-Nikkor 135 F5.6 (old metal version) enlarging lens designed to pass UV light. Mounted on Pentax bellows with ZWB1 2mm and BG39 2.3 mm filters to cut out visible and infrared light. ISO 400, F11 at 10 seconds about half hour before sunset. UV light brought out haze that was invisible to the eye.

Thanks for looking,

Definitely intriguing... mysterious and rather frightening ambience! Thanks for experimenting and sharing

Unexpected photo op

We live out in the country, and today two black cows escaped from their home pasture and wandered into our front yard. Upon notification the owners soon showed up with a tranquilizer gun, ropes, and a trailer for transport. There's never a dull moment when you live in the country.

KIT: K-1 and CZJ 80mm Biometar f 2.8.

Nice shot of fall color. Just read in a different forum post a complaint with the 43 as a landscape lens because of soft edges. What's been your experience? You seem to use it a lot.

Staunton River at Dawn (DFA 24-70mm/pixel shift)

At first I thought the sun was too close to the center...but upon further review, I think this might be the exception to the rule-you've nailed it once again! Love the way the trees frame the sun & the fog on the river.

Few shots with K-1 and CZJ 80mm Biometar f 2.8.

I love the Carl Zeiss Jena 80mm Biometar f 2.8. It is sharp and manual focus, but with long turns to get an exact focus.
