I went to Rome and discovered they used to be very poor. All, it seemed, of the statues were of people who could not afford clothes.

Sorry. No official likes to photos with dandelions in them. The bane of every lawn in the Americas. I have even seen them at Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. A pox upon those who thought it would be a good idea to bring them here from Europe.

Not when you have to spend hundreds of dollars a year to keep them from taking over your lawn. It is incredible how fast they multiply. That long deep root the size of a carrot makes it hard to pull them out of the ground so in some cases chemical warfare is needed. My curse of a pox upon those who brought them over here remains in place.

I've mastered them in cutting them before flowering for my salads... I'm now begging to have some for ONE salad in my garden !
