camerasize.com has the K-1 now

Here's a link to the K-1 v K-50.

Interesting from the top view, I hadn't noticed the strap lugs are set diagonally on the body..

Nice, I had a good look around it compared with my current K-3.

The K-1 isn't actually that much bigger dimension wise, the weight of the camera seems to be the biggest change 1010g K-1 vs 800g K-3

In terms of size, the K-1 is also slightly bigger than 5D3 and a fair bit bigger than 6D too...also weigh 300g more than 6D and like 60g more than 5D3. Any idea why the K-1 has a heavier body?

I'd guess because of the rear screen mounting system, and the larger viewfinder/pentaprism. Add to it the fact that the body is made of the same stuff the k3/k3II body is made of, plus all of the extra hardware (mode dials, etc...), the new shutter mechanism might also weigh more than the one in the k3/k3II. Larger mirror and sensor as well, plus the new 5-axis stabilizer probably weighs more than the older versions.

80% increase on megapixels. Those aren't a 0 point item on the menu, I'm afraid.

Uh... No.

The two Canon's are significantly larger than the K1. The Pentax is heavier because it has a metal frame, IBIS, GPS, WiFi, weather sealing, and a pivoting LCD, all of which are lacking on the Canons. I've always thought that Canon cameras felt like cheap plastic cameras - but that is just me.

Try comparing to the D800 or D810 Nikon size wise - that is a real eye opener.

The K1 appears to be the smallest Full Frame DSLR on the market.

As HoustonBob said, the K-1 is smaller than both the 6D and 5DIII. What chart were you looking at?
I imagine it is heavier because it's better built.

Exactly, Canon camera bodies (apart from the 1 Series) have been rather disappointing lately.

You are right, K-1 is significantly smaller and only 30 grams heavier than the D810 despite packing a lot more tech in.

That is an eye opener. Very impressive for the K-1

I know right?...so much for APS-C format DSLRs being compact. And on top of that: there is a 1% weight differential between them too, with the Pentax K-1 being the lighter of the two.

I had to check . Sucks to be a Canon 7DII owner when it come to size and weight.

The Nikon D500 is also bigger, but it is considerably (20%) lighter than the K-1. But compared to the D300s the K-1 is only 8% lighter, which suggests Nikon has cut down on the build quality of the newer D500 camera body.

D500 APS-C as well.

I still think I am going to notice the extra 200g of the K-1 when compared to my K-3. Still, a small price to pay for 36MP of compact, feature rich, Pentax FF goodness
