It's not so much the case of whether Tony gets a K-1 specifically or when he gets it, the important bit here is that according to him Ricoh have ignored him for a solid 2 years, not sending him anything to review, including stuff already released of which they should have more than enough lying around.

The best way to determine who doesn't get a review camera is the people who whine and complain when they don't get free stuff. They are free to rent or get a loaner camera elsewhere. If your job is to review gear and you don't have access to that gear then you don't know how to do your job. There are many people who review gear with less viewers and less resources. Pentax doesn't have infinite resources and they spend those resources as they please.

You can like Tony as much as you want but not everyone falls for his click-bait, obtuse videos. There are many people more deserving than him of getting Pentax gear.

Tony is a very decent guy but one has to wonder how positive he can allow himself to make a K-1 review. Why would he risk turning off a huge Canikon crowd to please a few Pentaxians?

I'm sure he'd have a lot of good words for the K-1 but the net result would be "AF not at top level and not many lenses available", wouldn't it? Ricoh really does not need another "Great for Pentaxians but hard to recommend to switch systems." recommendation.

As much as I appreciate Tony as a reviewer, I think he'd fall into the same "not too many lenses available" trap that virtually everyone on the net is falling into. Quite a shame that the vast amount of current FF lenses for the K-1 is not recognised by reviewers, let alone the used market availability of such legends as the FA* 85/1.4, etc.

For what it's worth, Tony joined Pentaxforums a long time ago, if I remember correctly, when a few PF users raged at his equivalence video, so he came aboard to defend and explain himself. Maybe we will hear from him again on this current issue.

He seems a nice guy, and incredibly prolific on YouTube, but it's not clear to me why he should get VIP treatment as a reviewer. Probably Ken Rockwell, Kai from DigitalRev or a dozen other online camera celebs have a bigger online footprint than Tony, and more influence on prospective buyers.

Why would a positive review of a certain brand turn off a large number of users of other brands? As fierce as some people may defend their brands and look down on others, the vast majority of photography enthusiasts are a pretty reasonable bunch who wouldn't immediately shun someone just because he holds another brand in high regard.

The average YouTube viewing camera buyer is not a muti-brand enthusiast, but an unreasoning joiner who views a favorable rating of another brand as a personal affront to his judgement in cameras.

And you gathered this knowledge about the 'average' Youtube viewing camera buyer how exactly?

You gathered your information pointing to the absolute necessity to give Tony an exclusive on a K-1 how, exactly? IIRC, it was you who said Ricoh is incompetent. Prove it.

Edit: Go Here. This is an example of how you can help.

FWIW I'm finished here. We don't need it.
