Ricoh never wants pre-production pics out there...our Albert was also ask to stick with VGA at most.

The RAW files, which I looked at recently, seem to have disappeared from this page. It was possible to download several RAW files.

This is why it is not likely that celebrity web reviewers (digilloyd, tony northrup etc) will be given a K-1 anytime soon.

Ricoh are still 'baking the cake', right up until the last minute of release-to-manufacturing.

Seems that's always the case with firmware at all the camera makers. I expect several "improve general performance" firmware updates after the hardware is shipped.

And to say that those RAW were "quite good" was an understatement... have you seen the reported 5-stop push by one of the DPR forum members in the comments?

Its the same with us ambassadors. We can play with the K-1, but not publish photos yet. But will come soon when we get our K-1's with FW 1.0
